Matured in old hogsheads that have been used for the production of peated whisky, this umeshu is delicately smoky with the hints of salt and a tingling sensation. Complex and mildly sweet, it has a lingering finish and breaks the traditional image of umeshu. As the barrels of peated whisky just account for less than 1% of production, they are extremely rare. Especially recommended to those who love smoky whisky.
